Bob has been diving since 1995 and teaching since   2004. He is a PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer and has NAUI and IANTD Certifications, as well. He has Specialty training in Boat, Deep, Drift, Enriched Air (Nitrox), Multilevel, Navigation, Dry Suit, and Night.

His favorite dive destinations are the VA Fog and the many other Gulf Rigs our body of water has to offer. He has logged over 1000 dives and considers Open Water and Advanced Open Water his favorite classes to teach. He likes the peaceful, easy feeling one gets from diving. As for becoming an Instructor, he was looking for a career after retirement.

As a teacher for thirty-one years, and a swim coach for thirty-six, Bob brings his rich teaching and aquatic background to all his classes. Because Bob's first job was lifeguarding, aquatic safety and fun became his number one priority as he continued as a lifeguard instructor for the Red Cross for more than thirty years. In later years, he earned the rating of CPR instructor, Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, and Sports Safety Instructor. Bob has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Education, and is TEA certified to teach Computer Technology, Psychology, Math and Physical Education. He is currently living in Leander enjoying the hill country lifestyle. He teaches geometry at Johnston High School near downtown Austin. Bob retired from Aldine ISD in 2005, but his love of teaching has brought him back to the classroom.

He enjoys boating on the highland lakes, traveling with his wife Jeanine, swimming, and of course, diving.
