This course is your first step into the world of Technical Diving, as it introduces decompression procedures and gas switching to accelerant decompression mixes. This program qualifies divers to conduct decompression dives to 140 fsw.
Although pricing varies among different certification agencies IANTD is one of the most accepted of these agencies for Advanced Nitrox Training for Technical Diving. The pricing for the Technical Deep Diver is $299.00, and the Advanced Nitrox Course is $399.00. The combined price for the Technical Deep Air & Advanced Nitrox Certifications is discounted to $645.00, and is based on a 4 person course (double occupancy). There is a $350.00 fee for the Check out dive weekend which includes your Hotel, Air & Enriched Air Gas Cylinder Fills, All Lectures and Training Dives, Instructor Expenses, & Park Entry Fees. The course includes instruction provided by a professional, experienced IANTD Instructor, pool fees and accommodations for the check out dives. Bargain hunters be warned that although it may be possible to find courses advertised at a lower rate, the check out dives are often done in another state (which generally requires two additiona l days off of work for travel) and do not include accommodations. The check out dives for this course will be done locally in Austin Texas in order to save you money on fuel/transportation expenses. We realize that there may be more exciting places to train in, but off shore training can be cancelled if the weather doesn't cooperate, and in reality our divers need to train in our local lakes because that is where we dive.
