The IANTD Normoxic Trimix, PSAI Trimix Level 1, and TDI Trimix Diver programs are designed for those divers wishing to utilize Trimix for bottom mix and Nitrox or Oxygen for decompression gas to conduct staged decompression dives to a maximum depth of 200 fsw (60 msw).

These courses examine the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving using Trimix as bottom mix containing an Oxygen content of 18% or greater and a Helium content that provides an Equivalent Narcotic Depth not to exceed 120 fsw (36 msw). The objective of these courses is to train divers to competently plan and conduct standard staged decompression dives not exceeding a maximum depth of 200fsw (60msw) using Trimix as bottom mix and Nitrox or Oxygen for decompression.

The courses build upon the skills and knowledge acquired in Advanced Nitrox, Deep Diver / Decompression Procedures courses (or equivalents), or Technical Diver / Extended Range Nitrox / Extended Range Diver, and focuses on equipment configuration, dive planning, decompression theory, decompression techniques, gasses used for decompression, and developing a positive and responsible attitude for diving safely within the limits of the divers' training.

Upon successful completion, these programs qualify divers to conduct Trimix dives outside of training to a maximum depth of 200 fsw (60 msw) using Normoxic Trimixtures and Nitrox or Oxygen for decompression.

Prerequisites:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Be certified as an Advanced Nitrox Diver and Deep Diver / Decompression Procedures Diver or equivalent.
Must provide proof of at least 100 logged dives and additional diving experience as noted below:

* IANTD also requires proof of 30 dives to a depth of at least 90 fsw (27 msw).
**PSAI also requires proof of 30 dives to a depth of at least 100 fsw (30 msw).
