  Instructor Development Course

Prerequisites

 

Instructor Candidates MUST meet the following requirements prior to enrolling in an Instructor Development Course:

  • Be 18 or older
  • Submit a medical statement signed by a physician that states you are fit for diving
  • Be certified for 6 months
  • Have 60 logged dives with experience in navigation, deep and night diving
  • Be certified in first aid and CPR within the last 2 years.
  • Be a PADI certified Divemaster or equivalent

Classroom and Pool Sessions

 

The duration of the course will be seven days. During this time Instructor Candidates will work both in the classroom and in the pool.

Open Water Sessions

 

Several outings will be made to local dive sites to practice the supervision and organization of open water dives. These will be made during the 7 day course.
